Description

Under the direct supervision of the Associate Dean, Automation, Architecture and Apprenticeships, provide classroom and laboratory instruction in a full range of courses in the Construction Electrician Apprenticeship Program and related curriculum.

Characteristic Duties and Responsibilities (include, but not limited to)

The instructor is responsible for providing an active learning environment to enable students to demonstrate course competencies, and creating a student learning centered environment that places learning at the center of educational experiences. Duties include curriculum development and evaluation, committee assignments, student recruitment, and student advising.

Minimum Qualifications


Education and Experience Requirements:
1. Twenty-four months (4,000 hours) of verifiable occupational experience as a fully qualified worker in the occupational area, of which 2,000 hours shall be within the previous five years. One year (2,000 hours) of related occupation experience may be waived if the occupational instructor has at least two years of post-secondary teaching experience in the appropriate occupational field within the last five years
2. Construction Electrician Registered Apprenticeship Required
3. Master Electrician License required
4. A Bachelor's degree or equivalent preferred
5. Previous teaching experience is desirable
6. Eligibility for WCTC Credentialing System

Hours:
Teaching assignments include variable hours, including days, evenings, and/or weekends.

Salary:
Salary is listed to the 3rd quartile of the range at the 2018-19 rates (Master's Degree level) and is based on experience and level of education.

Bachelors: $54,338 (minimum) - $79,337 (midpoint)
Masters: $58,993 (minimum) - $89,557 (midpoint)
