Job Description

This full-time position has primary responsibility for leading and managing projects and contracts for residential buildings and dining halls managed by Residential and Hospitality Services (RHS). These buildings operate 7 days a week, 24 hours per day including all University recognized holidays. This position has responsibility for supervising a specialist team to ensure consistency in excellence of service. Activities include leading dining hall maintenance efforts, representing RHS at project meetings, program management of RHS facilities improvements and budgets, & managing the operational side of major contracts between RHS and various vendors. Additionally, this position evaluates and audits on-campus service vendors within the residential system. The incumbent is expected to maintain active collaboration with Facility Services (FRES), Division of Public Safety (DPS) and coordinate closely with College Houses and Academic Services (CHAS) and Hospitality Services to support their operations. The successful individual is expected to support the department's effort to foster a living environment that is supportive and productive to all groups and individuals of Penn regardless of their race, sex, nationality, religion, sexual orientation or ability. RHS provides essential 24/7 services for the University of Pennsylvania. This position is an 'essential employee' & is expected to work when normal campus operations are suspended (eg. inclement weather) or if there is an emergency impacting on-campus residents. In addition, this position will be expected to work outside of regular schedule during peak activity periods (eg. move-in). To the extent possible, managers will provide timely notice of modified work schedules.
