Job Description

The Department of Science and Mathematics, in the College of Arts and Sciences, seeks applications from qualified candidates for a part-time non-tenure track position in geology, specializing in lower-division course work for scinence and non-science majors (e.g. Earth Sciences I & II, and laboratories). The College seeks excellence in instruction. 

Job Responsibilities
  • Teach lower-division courses for science majors
  • Teach lower-division courses for non-science majors
  • Teach lower-division laboratory courses
  • Create and maintain a safe environment for instruction and learning in a laboratory setting.

Required Education:

  • M.S. or Ph.D. in Geology or a related field (ABDs will be considered for this position).

Required Special Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • Ability to multi-task and work cooperatively with others.
  • Strong self-discipline and ability to work independently.
  • Strong quantitative and qualitative analytical skills.
  • Ability to interact with a diverse set of students and faculty.

This is a temporary, non-tenure-track, part-time position requiring teaching responsibilities. Applicants should submit the following documents for review:
