PRIMARY FUNCTIONS: Represent Smith College’s Non-Degree Program to grow brand and revenue. Increase market share for programs and services by helping to execute marketing initiatives, identifying and engaging with decision-makers, and managing social media. Design and implement training.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Represent Smith College’s Non-Degree Program nationally, and if required, internationally, at high schools and other recruitment venues, to staff college fairs, conduct interviews, deliver group information sessions, and represent the college at off-campus events (PC).
  • Perform professional-level communications that require platform expertise utilizing a wide variety of communication platforms: social media, blogs, photography and videography (EE & PC).
    • Write and edit copy, as well as identify appropriate graphic, photographic and/or video representation.
  • Conceive, develop, and present additional leadership development programs, conferences, and workshops hosted or attended by Non-Degree Programs (EE & PC).
  • Represent Smith Non-Degree Program Office on campus-wide committees
  • Update website, brochures, directories, and forms as directed and in accordance with brand (EE & PC).
  • Assist in delivering creative ideas for marketing campaigns for Enrollment / Retention of EE & PC.
  • Serve as a site-person and collaborator for Non-Degree Program Events
  • Serve on the Precollege Program Residential Management Team and coordinate social and community programming for staff and high school participants, as well as contribute to planning and executing staff training week workshops.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

Education/Experience: Bachelor's degree and a minimum of 5-7 years of relevant experience, preferably in a business or higher education context or an equivalent combination of education and/or experience.

Skills: Extremely organized and systems-oriented individual, with excellent judgment and attention to detail. Outstanding communication, problem-solving, project management, analytical, interpersonal, judgment, writing, and presentation skills. Creative and strategic thinker with a sense of design. Able to develop content and analyze data to meet marketing and learning goals. Ability to build trust and productive working relationships with individuals at all levels. Ability to work effectively and collaboratively in a startup-like environment with constantly changing client needs.  Ability to make data-driven decisions; good judgment with confidential information. Demonstrated ability to lead projects from beginning to end while meeting revenue mandates. Proficiency with Google G Suite, Microsoft Office, design tools, streaming audio and video, file types and formats, and experience with online conference software. Strong work ethic, curiosity, and a passion for advancing women in business. Willingness to travel to manage program operations.
