JOB SUMMARY:

Serves as an information technology consultant for Clemson University, located primarily at the Clemson Nursing building on the Prisma Health Medical Campus in Greenville,SC. This consultant will be responsible for providing excellent customer service to occupants within the facility with an emphasis on support of classroom technology and video conferencing systems. Additional requirements include support of technology needs for Clemson University School of Health Research (CUSHR) and other duties as assigned.
JOB DUTIES:

40% - Essential - TIER 1 CLASSROOM SUPPORT Serves as the initial support contact for classroom technology and video conferencing systems. Conducts recurring classroom checks to verify equipment functionality while working closely with tier-2 support to identify and repair any problems. Provides assistance to faculty with the use of this technology. Must be able to multi-task and manage several concurrent projects to completion

30% - Essential - TECHNICAL SUPPORT Serves as a Clemson Computing and Information Technology (CCIT) consultant for students, faculty and staff. Provides in-person technical support primarily for students for both Apple and PC hardware, software, peripherals and mobile devices. Duties include but are not limited to imaging and new computer setup, software installation, software / hardware troubleshooting and consultation. Consults with management and others regarding recommendations of hardware and software upgrades.

20% - Essential - Research Support Provides technical assistance to the CUSHR research environment. Serves as a facilitator between Prisma Health and CCIT for technical matters. Consults with the Chief Science Officer of Prisma Health on technology initiatives.

5% - Essential - Statewide Support Provide technical support for other Clemson locations in the area as needed.

5% - Essential - OTHER - Perform all other related duties as required by supervisors. The work hours for this position will be Monday through Friday for a full-time total of 37.5 - 40 hours per week. Occasional evening and/or weekend work may be required with prior notice. Emergencies may require after hours and weekend support without prior notice.

PREFERRED REQUIREMENTS:

Education - Associate's Degree

Experience - 3+ years experience in office automation systems, data communications system design, installation, operation, repair, sales or marketing, or processing of information in a data processing environment or relatedsystems. A degree in a related field may be substituted for the required experience on a year-for-year basis.

Certfications - Microsoft Certified IT Profession Certification and Apple Certified Support Professional a plus
