Kennesaw State University is now accepting applications for a nine-month, tenure track Assistant Professor of Communication faculty position in the School of Communication and Media, which begins August 2020.

The School of Communication and Media at Kennesaw State University invites applications for a nine-month, tenure-track Assistant Professor in Organizational & Professional Communication to begin August 2020. We seek someone who can contribute innovative curriculum developments in the area of organizational & professional communication. The ideal candidate will bring excellent teaching, engaged scholarship, and practical experiences to the classroom and can add to the intellectual climate of the School. The ability to work in a multi-disciplinary School is essential.

The successful candidate will teach courses in Organizational & Professional Communication with the possibility of teaching School-wide courses such as research methods and communication theory, and courses in our graduate programs. Faculty in the school teach in a variety of modalities: face-to-face, hybrid, and online.

Faculty are expected to maintain active research agendas as well as to meet service expectations of the department, college, and university. Commitment to excellence in teaching, complemented by strong scholarship and engagement, is expected of all faculty members in KSU’s College of Humanities and Social Sciences.

Terminal degree in Communication or a related discipline or the foreign equivalent (ABD will be considered but PhD must be completed before your start date). Previous university teaching experience is required. Online and hybrid teaching experience preferred.
