The Department of Neurology at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill is seeking a mid-level/senior BC/BE neurologist to lead our Neuromuscular Division. Fellowship training in Neuromuscular Medicine is required. The successful applicant is expected to provide leadership to the Neuromuscular Disorders Division, the EMG Laboratory, and the MDA Clinic as well as to contribute to active clinical, translational and basic research programs relevant to neuromuscular disorders. A large patient referral network, the UNC Neuroscience Center, UNC Gene Therapy Center, availability of 3T imaging and fMRI, a supportive clinical trials milieu and close integration with one of the top schools of public health are among the assets available to support strong research programs. The Chapel Hill/Research Triangle Region is widely regarded as a leading academic/biotech region with an exceptionally high quality of life. Rank is dependent on qualifications and experience.

Educational Requirements

MD. Fellowship in Neuromuscular Medicine and/or EMG.

Qualifications and Experience

MD. BC/BE neurologist with expertise in neuromuscular disorders.
Fellowship training is required; Fellowship in Neuromuscular Medicine is highly desirable.
