Position Summary
Job Summary
The Admission IS Tech is responsible for assisting with the student application process and maintains frequent contact with VP for Enrollment Management, Director of Admissions, Admissions staff, and other University departments to provide information and reports; daily contact with student assistants to provide direction and gain cooperation; occasional contact with prospective students to provide information. To be an integral member of the Admission team, the Admission IS Tech will fulfill the responsibilities listed below.
Specific Responsibilities

  • Assist in all areas of application processing; Input information into system and generate labels; input receipt of all admissions credentials; review applications for completeness; generate weekly status reports for various departments; major changes.
  • Process senior inquiries on a daily basis; input information into system; generate appropriate correspondence.
  • Assist generating appropriate decision letters for all applicants.
  • Assist supervisor in hiring, training, and evaluating student assistants. Prioritize and direct their daily work activities.
  • Provide support for on campus Admissions events
  • Assist with other on-campus special events that are related to Admissions; help prepare materials and packets, assist with registration, etc.
  • Assist with incoming telephone calls; provide information or refer.
  • Assist with scheduling appointments and visits
  • Import SAT, ACT and other data sources into CRM.
  • Manage high school/Institution files
  • Represent admissions on the “Hands” team to discuss input standards for Datatel
  • Assist with maintaining an accurate inventory of departmental literature, office supplies, etc.
  • Assist with troubleshooting for problems in the CRM; work with Associate Director in answering questions and troubleshooting problems; assist with the back-up of all files onto the system.

    Required Qualifications
    Knowledge, Skills, Abilities
    Strong Computer skills. Knowledge of English language including meaning and spelling of words, rules of composition and grammar. Skilled at written and verbal communication, including formal presentation to groups. Ability to set priorities and advocate team concepts; work collaboratively with faculty and staff.

    Education
    High school or equivalent required.

    Experience
    Three years of office experience required.

    Physical Demand
    Position requires the ability to stand or sit for extended periods of time. Position requires the ability to move about the campus. Position requires the ability to talk and to hear instruction. Position requires occasional manual dexterity and the ability to use fingers, hands, and arms to feel, handle, and reach. Position requires occasional stooping, crouching and bending. Position requires the ability to occasionally lift up to 10 pounds. Working conditions are indoor.

    Preferred Qualifications
    Experience
    Experience in the Microsoft Office Suite preferred.
