As the principal health and safety office at Stanford University, we support and advance the teaching, learning and research activities at Stanford by promoting a safe and healthy campus environment. We provide and coordinate programs and services that minimize safety, health, environmental, and regulatory risks in a manner consistent with fiscal and environmental stewardship.
JOB PURPOSE:
Develop and oversee the day-to-day technical and operational functions of radiation and laser safety programs. This position will also serve as a senior leader within the Research Safety Program and will be expected to work closely with Biosafety and Laboratory Safety programs to rethink existing efforts and develop new initiatives to enhance the culture of safety and reduce risk in the research environment. Develop and manage personnel in support of program mission.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:
Education & Experience:
Bachelor's degree in health physics, medical physics, nuclear engineering, or related natural science field. Eight years of related progressively responsible experience or an equivalent combination of education and relevant experience.
