Dean, School of Business and Management

The College at Brockport, State University of New York, invites applications and nominations for the position of Dean of the School of Business and Management. The School of Business and Management is accredited by the Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business (AACSB) and by the Network of Schools of Public Policy, Affairs, and Administration (NASPAA) for their public administration programs. The College seeks a visionary leader to facilitate a positive environment for teaching, scholarship, creative activity, research (both theoretical and applied), and service to the College and community. The Dean will be outward-looking and entrepreneurial in leading the School to new levels of success.

Founded in 1835, The College at Brockport is a nationally recognized four-year comprehensive public college focused on student success. The College is part of the State University of New York (SUNY) system. The College is located in Brockport, NY, a college town of nearly 8,400 residents on the scenic and historic Erie Canal. The 464-acre campus is near downtown Rochester, a city known for philanthropy, high technology, and intellectual capital.

Faculty and staff advance the College mission of fostering student success through rigorous programs of academic study and through exceptional co-curricular programs and support services. The College enrolls 7,057 undergraduate and 1,230 graduate students in 49 undergraduate and over 50 masters' degree programs. Of the 328 full-time faculty, 88% hold a doctorate or other terminal degree.

The Department of Business Administration and Economics was established in 1971. The Department earned its initial accreditation from AACSB in 2002. Through a restructuring, the department became a School in 2011. The School was reaffirmed by AACSB in 2013 and in 2018. The Department of Public Administration is accredited by NASPAA. The School has a reputation for excellence in the preparation of its students for careers in business and public service and for close student-faculty interactions and collaborations. The School's 53 full- and part-time faculty work closely with nearly 1,100 undergraduate students pursuing degrees in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, International Business, and Marketing, and nearly 200 graduate students who pursue degrees in Accounting, Business Administration, and Public Administration.
