Founded in 1965, MSU Denver is a comprehensive university offering bachelor's and master's degrees on the Auraria Campus in downtown Denver. MSU Denver educates more undergraduate Coloradans than any other four-year institution in Colorado.

MSU Denver has one of the most diverse student bodies in Colorado. 50.3 % of MSU Denver’s undergraduate students are students of color. We are a Hispanic-Serving Institution, earned in February 2019, and are committed to serving DACA and undocumented students.

The University’s Board of Trustees issued a resolution in June of 2020 committing to engaging in the anti-racism work necessary to dismantle institutionalized create systemic change. Trustees pledged to dismantling institutionalized racism and bring together civic, industry, public and nonprofit community to address the most pressing issues of racial justice.

One of MSU Denver’s 2030 Strategic Plan goals is to be Colorado’s most desired place of employment.
