Monday – Friday 7:00AM – 3:30 pm
Overtime and weekend hours are requried to cover program needs and meet deadlines for all events for the Athletic Department.

The Athletic Outdoor Facilities Operations is responsible for the administration and maintenance of all Athletic Facilities. These facilities are used by the Athletics Department’s varsity programs, University organizations and the local community. Oversight of general maintenance, operations and repairs for plumbing systems and related equipment including backflow preventers, fixture installation, kitchen equipment repairs, leak identification and repair and irrigation system repairs. Assistance as requested with other facility Maintenance needs within Athletic Facilities. This could include, but is not limited to: blowing, event set up and preparation, and motor pool assistance.Minimum Education and Experience Requirements
High school diploma or equivalency; or demonstrated possession of the competencies necessary to perform the work. Some positions may require special licenses or certification. Optional Guidelines: experience in the trade(s) areas related to the area of assignment may be substituted on a year-for-year basis.Essential Skills, Knowledge and Abilities
Demonstrated ability to formulate and implement proper plumbing maintenance and repairs. Ability to recognize, identify and treat plumbing issues that could become issues in or around Athletic Facilities. Demonstrated communication skills and ability to motivate and direct employees. Demonstrated technical knowledge and understanding of a variety of specialized machinery. Ability to communicate with coaches, staff, vendors, contractors, etc. A valid NC Driver’s license required.Preferred Qualifications
Three to five years of related plumbing work experience. Knowledge of building codes. Demonstrated knowledge and experience with all plumbing related fixtures and back flow systems. Thorough understanding and ability to work with and manage crews.Required Licenses/Certifications
