Position Summary:

Starting pay is based on experience, with a minimum starting rate of $16.67 per hour. This position manages the School of Social Work's main office and admissions for the Full-Time MSW Program and BSW program. This position also provides program support to the director, assistant director, associate director, and academic advisors. The person in this position serves under the general supervision of the assistant director and departmental manager for the School of Social Work.

This position requires independent action and problem solving skills. The person in this position needs to acquire and demonstrate a thorough understanding of the School of Social Work's mission, structure, policies and procedures with emphasis on the Full-Time MSW Program and two undergraduate programs: the BSW and BA/BS in Social Welfare.
This position handles confidential records and conversation; and duties may include sensitive issues. The ability to maintain confidentiality is essential to this position.

Success in this position requires the following: establish and maintaining effective professional relationships with directors, supervisors, co-workers, students, and all visitors to the school; provide constructive feedback for the purpose of continuous improvement in a manner that is supportive of the School of Social Work; use data collection tools to assemble information needed by the assistant director and advisors; use team skills to contribute to the efficient operation of the work unit; and present ideas, carry out assignments and provide timely information as required.
