Position Summary

The Department of Human Development and Family Studies is currently accepting applications for an Academic Year Fixed Term Instructor for the upcoming 2019-2020 academic school year at Michigan State University. This position will include teaching courses that are for undergraduate students in person and hybrid/online around personal finance/financial literacy. A Master's Degree is required for this teaching position. Instructional experience with varied course content, size, and format strongly recommended (e.g., the traditional classroom, online, workshops, one-on-one).

Duties: Main responsibility includes teaching HDFS undergraduate courses around personal finance/financial literacy. This includes lesson planning and preparation, lecturing, multimedia presentation, grading, meeting with students one-on-one or in small group settings, multimodal communication with students, course assessment, and working closely with the undergraduate director to ensure course quality.

Required Degree

Masters -Human Development and Family Studies, Economics, or related field

Minimum Requirements

Masters in Human Development and Family Studies, Economics, Family Economics, or related field. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Experience teaching online and in person classes at the undergraduate level.
