Procurement & Contract Services. The Shipping & Receiving Clerk assists the Central Receiving Manager with daily operation of the Central Receiving and Property Control, Record Retention Center and Surplus functions at the Armstrong campus.

Essential Functions

•Receives, inventories, processes and issues equipment, supplies and materials for the University.
•Ships and tracks all out bound equipment (i.e., return to vendor, warranty, damages).
•Checks, documents condition and reports shortages to buyers for resolution and follow-up with shippers and vendors on damaged material receipts including filing claims document.
•Coordinates with buyers, vendors and shipping companies, to document and rectify discrepancies.
•Tags, documents and captures serial numbers of inventory equipment; stages equipment for delivery according to priority of receipt.
•Enters data information in computerized inventory system; creates receipt in computer based programs (spreadsheets and databases) to document arrival/acceptance of equipment and material on campus and process all associated documents.
•Develops and maintains communication with departmental personnel to facilitate timely and efficient delivery of equipment and material.
•Utilizes material handling equipment and/or hand load material on delivery vehicle.
