The Group Fitness Instructor will be responsible for designing, promoting and leading various group fitness classes in the Western Wellness Center.

This position is a part-time non-benefit eligible position. Schedule and class type will vary based on demand.

1. Maintain and uphold the College values of Learning, Excellence, Accountability, Diversity, Student Success, Teamwork, Integrity, and Respect.
2. Possess a working knowledge of human anatomy, kinesiology and training principles.
3. Create a safe, effective, professional and fun group exercise experience for participants of all fitness levels, abilities, and backgrounds.
4. Nurture positive relationships with participants and provide motivation and inspiration.
5. Maintain facility equipment and ensure safety and cleanliness of the facility.Report any problems to Wellness Center Manager.
6. Respond appropriately to emergency situations such as injuries or incidents.
7. Enforce rules and regulations set forth by the facility.
8. Perform other duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications Required:

• Bachelor's Degree in related field preferred.
• Have successfully completed a nationally recognized group exercise certification (YMCA, NETA, ACE, AFAA, or NASM) preferred.
• Current CPR/AED/First Aid certification or within 3 months of hire.
• Demonstrated ability to lead a safe, effective, and fun group exercise class.

This position reports to: Manager - Wellness Center

Starting annual salary range based on education and experience: $14-$20/hour

This position is a part-time non-benefit eligible position. Schedule will vary.
