Basic Function

Assist the Program Head, in helping students during class time and open lab hours. Help students solve minor problems. Exhibit positive attitude, and provide general administrative support as needed.

Duties and Responsibilities

Monitor a computer lab and equipment as needed, keep regular inventory of lab supplies, and maintain a clean and orderly lab environment, and be present when students use lab for assignments. Direct questions to the Program Head, as necessary. Provide support to the Program Head, as needed. Performs other duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications

High School diploma or equivalent combination of education, experience and/or training.
Some experience maintaining and servicing recording software, music recording technology, and recording studio equipment.
Willing to work afternoons and evenings, including Fridays and Weekends.

Preferred Qualifications

Experience maintaining and installing Pro-tools and many other audio software plugs, and recording studio equipment, including SSL AWS 948+ console, various mic stands and mics.
Installing, maintaining and updating all audio software, over 300 titles, including the main software of ProTools, Mac Pro computer, Drobo Raid storage, SSL AWS Console, and Patch Bay.
Previous experience working or being part of a community college setting.

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

Basic knowledge of Protools is required.
Ability to work with faculty and students. Excellent customer service attitude and strong communication skills. Ability to teach, train and guide others on basic computer operations. Friendly, helpful attitude, and reliable.
Willing to work afternoons and evenings, including Fridays and Weekends.
Shows a willingness to learn and an ability to problem solve.
