Job Details
The University of North Georgia is currently accepting applications for a Shipping/Receiving Assistant on the Dahlonega campus. The Shipping & Receiving Assistant is responsible for daily receiving, storing, filling and delivering orders. This position also operates a truck tailgate lift, forklift and pallet jack as well as driving a van and/or truck. Duties will include pickup and delivery of surplus materials, ensuring proper usage of the in-house tracking system, and assisting with staging material for sales.

Job Duties & Responsibilities:The Shipping/Receiving Assistant will:
- Be responsible for pick up and storage of surplus property, removal of UNG decals, preparation and staging of pallets for delivery to DOAS or future campus use.
- Use forklift and/or pallet jack to unload delivery trucks as supplies and equipment are delivered. Store items in appropriate areas. Use truck tailgate lift to deliver supplies and equipment.
- Reconcile property delivered against appropriate purchase request.
- Ensure cleanliness of warehouse area and warehouse vehicles.
- Perform other job related duties as assigned.
- Must have knowledge of all locations on campus.
- Strong and effective communication skills; excellent interpersonal and teamwork skills; basic computer skills.
- Ability to manage work load, meet deadlines, and multitask.
- Ability to lift 50 pounds.
- High School Diploma
- No experience required; prefer some related warehouse/storage experience.
- Valid Driver’s License is required.
