Reports to the Head Men’s Basketball Coach and assists in the administration of all phases of the women’s basketball program in accordance with NCAA Division I rules and philosophies.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTION:

• Responsible for all managerial efforts in regards to both practice and game preparations; for all team travel-airline, bus, hotel, food reservations; practice times and travel itineraries;
• Assist in marketing plans and with maintaining social media sites
• Organize and participate in camp and community service projects
• Knowledge of NCAA rules and regulations
• Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with students, fellow employees, programs boosters.
• Act as a vocational counselor for student athletes; managing course load, academic support, aiding in post graduation job search, application and career decisions
• Responsible for the alignment of student athletes with their post-grad career opportunity.
• Acting as the academic and career point of contact as well as program facilitator for student athletes and the community.

Minimum Education: Bachelors degree preferred

Required Skills

• Excellent interpersonal, organizational and communication skills
• Ability to treat confidential and sensitive information appropriately, must have an understanding of the University’s concern for academics as well as athletic excellence
• Must be able to operate a variety of office equipment
• Basic knowledge of MS Word 2013, Basic knowledge of MS Excel 2013
• Knowledge of NCAA rules and regulations
• Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with students, fellow employees, program boosters, and the public

As this position requires operation of University vehicles and traveling for recruiting purposes, the possession and maintenance of a Florida driver’s license and acceptable driving record is required.
