The Chemistry Program of Stockton University is seeking to fill a half-year (Fall semester 2019) full-time visiting position at the Assistant Professor level in the areas of General and Introductory Organic Chemistry.  Classes for the Fall 2019 semester begin Wednesday, September 4, 2019.

Responsibilities:

  • General or Organic Chemistry lecture and/or laboratory sections at the introductory level.
  • Teaching load is 12 teaching credit hours per academic semester, with lecture courses carrying 4 teaching credit hours and laboratories 2 teaching credit hours.
  • Evening teaching responsibilities are possible.
  • The ability to support Stockton University’s diversity commitment and strong student-centered vision and mission.

Required Qualifications:

  • Ph.D. in Chemistry or related field is required for appointment as an Assistant Professor. 
  • ABD or Master’s degree in Chemistry or related area is required for appointment as instructor.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Teaching experience in introductory courses of General and Organic Chemistry is a plus.
