The specialist will facilitate classes three times per week with Kindergarten readiness guidelines in mind. The ECL specialist will assist other ECL programs throughout the year: 1. The Spring Early Childhood Festival, 2. Provider visits to Kindlers Classroom (tentative start date Spring 2020), 3. Three evening Kindlers Classes throughout each school year.

The ECL Teaching Specialist will:
Facilitate and lead the Kindlers classes three times per week and plan the weekly curriculum around kindergarten readiness guidelines.
Plan, prepare and clean-up learning activities and classroom after each session.
-This may require running errands and gathering supplies outside of the classroom.
Model to parents how to play, talk and interact with little ones while having fun.
Provide support and resources for families where observed a potential need.
Provide a classroom environment that is welcoming and one that fosters new friendships amongst Kindler families.
Lead Kindler family communication: in person, email, phone calls and Facebook
Meet on a weekly basis with the Early Childhood Liaison to plan, guide and support all ECL work.
Working Conditions/Physical RequirementsKindlers Learn through Play classroom is located at Highland Park Elementary School.
