Faculty InitiativesGeneral Description / Primary Purpose

The School of Engineering at the University of North Florida (UNF) invites applications for a non-tenure-track academic advisor/instructor position in Mechanical Engineering commencing in October 2019.
The position is a 12-month appointment with academic advising and teaching duties. Effective academic advising is a major requirement for this position, and the successful candidate is expected to teach fundamental engineering courses and demonstrate a capacity to work and engage with the diverse engineering student body. The 20% teaching load consists of two courses per calendar year, and academic advising and service comprise of 80% of the load. Collegiality, active service and participation in governance in accordance with the vision and mission of the school, college, and university are also expected.
