Research Assistant, Huntingtons Disease Care Education and Research Center - Georgetown University Medical Center

Requirements

Research Assistant, Huntington's Disease Care Education and Research Center - Georgetown University Medical Center

The Research Assistant will be a part of the Huntington's Disease Care Education and Research Center (HD CERC) to assist with regulatory duties and clinical trial implementation. The Center currently runs three clinical drug trials and two observational trials. This position will be responsible for the Enroll HD observational study, and will assist with clinical visits in the all clinical trials, including but not limited to the Signal HD, Nilotinib HD, and Generation HD studies. In addition, the position will require administrative work for the Director of the Center, Program Manager, and Social Worker.

Duties include but are not limited to:
  • Scheduling of meetings, clinics, and pre-clinic calls.
  • Work with Neurology staff and SW to schedule rooms and for clinics and other visits and ensuring all patients are in the system prior to visits.
  • Overall clinic support- Navigating where patients and teams need to be during the clinic and keeping team up to date as things change throughout the day.
  • Scheduling baseline and follow up visits for ENROLL HD, Signal HD, Generation HD, Nilotinib HD, and Natural History Study. Additional studies as needed.
  • Conducting monthly and annual visits.
  • Data entry and queries for all studies.
  • Administrative work as needed for Director of the Center, Program Manager, and Social Worker.
  • Other clerical work as needed.

Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree
  • A year of relevant experience.
  • Experience conducting structured interviews
  • Data entry experience
  • Knowledge of good clinical practice with human subjects research
