Job Details

The Assistant Dean of Outreach and Undergraduate Programs will utilize strategic communication to engage the School’s internal and external constituencies – including, but not limited to, prospective and current students, alumni, Advisory Board members, corporate partners, and peer institutions – to raise visibility and brand awareness.

This position will include the ability to develop and maintain a high-quality, comprehensive website and branding materials for the Frank G. Zarb School of Business. In addition, the Assistant Dean will coordinate with chairpersons regarding departmental content, implement effective updating procedures, review and approve all copy and design and work closely with University Relations to ensure consistency of web design. Additional responsibilities will include but are not limited to: collaborate with University Relations to develop and manage a vibrant social media presence including communication strategies to orchestrate advertising and press opportunities; ensure the collection of social media material at all events; assist Dean and Senior Associate Dean with planning, orchestration and delivery of undergraduate admissions events; contribute to the planning and execution of Zarb School programming, including, but not limited to, seminars, conferences, socials, business club fairs, executive speakers’ series, outreach activities and Dean’s Business Scholar activities; assist Senior Associate Dean with undergraduate academic advisement, when necessary. Other duties may be assigned, which are aligned with the mission of the Zarb School.

Qualifications:

Candidates require a bachelor’s degree, but a master’s degree is preferred. A successful candidate must demonstrate extensive related professional experience, preferably in marketing, public relations, advertising or higher education administration; excellent oral and written communication skills. Experience with social media and web design is preferred.
