Associate Director, Regional Alliances - Georgetown University Office of Advancement

Located in a historic neighborhood in the nation's capital, Georgetown offers rigorous academic programs, a global perspective, exciting ways to take advantage of Washington, D.C., and a commitment to social justice. Our community is a tight knit group of remarkable individuals interested in intellectual inquiry and making a difference in the world.

The Office of Advancement supports the mission of Georgetown University, its faculty, and students by developing relationships with key constituencies, connecting with alumni, and working with donors to help them know and understand opportunities for partnership with the university.

The University has seen the value of professional networking alliances and has committed to the visions of the Wall Street Alliance, the Georgetown Entrepreneurship Alliance, the Georgetown Entertainment and Media Alliance, the Georgetown Tech Alliance, the Women of Georgetown Initiative, the Chicago Business Alliance, and the London City Alliance. There is already a strong regional and class structure and with the alliance engagement, we can provide an opportunity to enhance and amplify the third pillar through which Alumni can engage with Georgetown. The current alliances, and those that will follow, have greatly enhanced the engagement of alumni who may not be inclined to be involved with Georgetown socially through their class or local club. By growing engagement with Alliances, the University also hopes to:
a) Connect alumni with each other for the purposes of networking, thereby connecting them more closely to Georgetown.
b) Grow the University brand in industries of strategic importance.
c) Grow the mentorship and job/internship/informational resources for students.
