Position Summary

The Financial Analyst will provide analytical support for the Tandon School of Engineering, reporting to the Assistant Director of Budget & Analysis. This role will be responsible for monitoring and analyzing a portfolio of operating and designated budgets. The Analyst will be responsible for creating financial reports, forecasting revenue & expenses, preparing profit and loss statements and loading budgets.

Qualifications

Required Education:Bachelor's Degree in Business, Finance, Accounting, Economics or related area.Preferred Education:Master's Degree Higher Education experience preferred.Required Experience:2+ years quantitative analytical experience, preferably in finance or accounting.Required Skills, Knowledge and Abilities:Ability to understand management requirements to investigate, analyze and frame financial analysis in a clear and concise fashion.  Demonstrated intermediate to advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint. Excellent oral and written communication skills required. Ability to learn new software quickly. We are looking for a team player that is highly motivated & eager to learn in a fast-paced environment. The ability to juggle multiple priorities while maintaining attention to detail is necessary.Preferred Skills, Knowledge and Abilities:Hyperion Planning (Budget Planning Tool), Experience with data querying tools (i.e. Oracle etc.), University Data Warehouse Plus (Financial System), APWorkflow (Accounts Payable Workflow), Workday (Human Resource System)
