Position Summary

Develop, manage and maintain the NYU IT EDGE (Education and Development for Global Excellence) professional development program and effective processes to ensure alignment with NYU IT’s needs for skill development and in support of consistency and excellence in technology roles at NYU. Develop and design an IT training curriculum based on key roles, knowledge and skills needed to support emerging technologies, security and compliance, and core IT competencies. Collaborate with IT Leadership, staff and NYU IT’s HR Partner in the design, development, and evaluation of training curriculums, facilitation, participant materials, and session modules. Coordinate with partners across NYU to learn what training and development offerings are available in the areas of management, leadership, business, and diversity & inclusion. Ensure effective marketing and communications to staff to ensure understanding of the IT EDGE program and how it works. Manage training attendance tracking,reporting and key metrics to measure success. Work with the CIO Directs to identify training goals year-to-year and key metrics to measure success. Create and maintain a website for the program.

Qualifications

Required Education:Bachelor's Degree from an accredited college or universityPreferred Education:Bachelor's Degree with a concentration in teaching, training, or business administrationRequired Experience:3+ years experience progressively responsible experience in the planning and development of training programsPreferred Experience:3+ years experience in a managerial, supervisory or administrative capacity related to the organization, formulation, development and implementation of training programs.Required Skills, Knowledge and Abilities:Excellent presentation, delivery and organizational skills with proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Access. Strong knowledge in adult learning principles and varied training modalities. Strong interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills essential. Ability to follow-through on training programs from development stage through implementation and ongoing program management. Candidate must possess highly developed organizational and time management skills to effectively handle and prioritize multiple tasks. Strong analytical abilities to be able to data gathering methods and assess results to determine needs, valuePreferred Skills, Knowledge and Abilities:Experience with other e-training platforms. iLearn and NYU Classes a plus. Website building skills and experience a plus. Strong knowledge of technology roles and skills.
