This is a 19 hour per week maximum, part-time student position reporting to the TRiO Program Assistant. The weekly schedule will be assigned by the supervisor in conjunction with the student’s class schedule. The work schedule is subject to change between semesters or as needed. Students are not to work during scheduled class time, even if class is cancelled or dismissed early..
Essential DutiesSpecific duties include, but are not limited to the following:
- Extends excellent customer service to faculty, staff, students and visitors
- Provides visitors with information pertaining to the application process
- Ensures TRiO students are following proper sign in procedures
- Distribute curriculum cards to students in the Center
- Perform data entry of curriculum cards
- Prepares and files documents for long and short term storage
- Completes tasks including typing, copying, faxing, shredding, etc.
- Creates various brochures, flyers, forms and surveys
- Prepare activity reports and similar documents
- Prepare and maintain spreadsheets
- Runs errands on campus
- Other duties as assigned
College Work Study eligible persons will have received an Award Letter in Coast and will need to upload the letter to the documents area when applying for his job. Follow the instructions in the “Special Instructions to Applicant” area to locate you Award Letter.
- Must be enrolled in at least 6 credit hours
- Must possess strong customer service and communication skills
- Must be dependable
- Must have knowledge of general office equipment
- Must be proficient in Microsoft Office programs
- Must have completed the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) for the current academic year and have been offered College Work Study funds on your award letter is COAST
Training
- Demonstrates excellent written
communication and interpersonal skills - Demonstrates ability to manage multiple
projects with varying deadlines - Ability to concurrently handle both
co-/extra-curricular and curricular
assignments
Log into COAST via the my.CCGA portal
- Click on Financial Aid
- Click on My Award Information
Award By Aid Year - Select the Aid Year and click submit (Please use aid year for which you are seeking employment)
- Select the Award Overview tab and scroll to the bottom to show your award for the year.
- Press PrtScn (print screen) on your keyboard to copy then paste your award information into a word document to save.
- Upload it to the documents area when applying for the job.
