Reporting Responsibility: This position reports to the Chair of the Pharmaceutical and Biomedical Sciences Department for the College of Pharmacy.
Qualifications:
- Ph.D. in immunology, biochemistry, physiology, or related biomedical sciences field.
- Postdoctoral experience and strong academic credentials in the discipline of immunology, biochemistry, or related biomedical sciences field.
Duties and Responsibilities
Specific responsibilities for faculty in pharmacology include, but not limited to:
- Teach Pharm.D and graduate students in areas of immunology, biochemistry, physiology, and/or topics related to biomedical sciences as expertise. The teaching work is assigned by the Chair of the Pharmaceutical and Biomedical Sciences Department;
- Develop and improve the courses as expertise;
- Initiate and actively participate in a research program in areas of interest;
- Maintain publications and other scholarly activities;
- Serve committees of college of pharmacy and university as assigned;
- Assist the college with accreditation and regulatory processes;
- Assist the college and department with strategic plans and assessment;
- Participate in department, college, and university activities as assigned or needed;
- Advise Pharm.D students as assigned by the college;
- Advise graduate students as expertise;
- Mentor faculty as requested;
- Act as a professional model to students;
- Act as an effective representative of the college to the university and professional organizations.

About: Our new 110,000 square foot facility located in Elk Grove is right off of Interstate 5 just minutes south of Sacramento. The new facility is currently home to both the College of Pharmacy and College of Medicine and was designed with new academic and research facilities for our students and faculty. Our new College of Health Sciences facility is located right off of Highway 50 just minutes west of Sacramento. The College of Health Sciences program offers a four-year Bachelor of Science in Health Sciences, 2+4 and 3+4 BS-MD and BS-PharmD accelerated programs in partnership with the CNU College of Medicine and College of Pharmacy, and a Pre-Med Post Baccalaureate Program.
