Job Summary:

OklahomaState University Center for Health Sciences (OSU-CHS) invites applications for anon-tenure track, full time (12 month) faculty position at the rank of ClinicalAssistant Professor. The successful candidate will work directly with the Gross Anatomycourse coordinator in teaching anatomy course(s) during all academic semesters(including Summer); additionally, this individual will teach a course in Patho-histology.

Applicants with outreach experiences mentoring underrepresented minorities areparticularly encouraged to apply.

Physical Requirements:
Ability to lift and carry 8-10 pounds, stoop, reach, stand, walk, finger,grasp, feel, talk, hear, see, and perform repetitive motions with or withoutreasonable accommodations.

Education & Experience

Position Qualifications:

Required:
- Ph.D. with a specialization in Clinical Gross Anatomy, broadly trained (e.g. clinical gross anatomy, human histology, human neuroanatomy)
- Previous experience teaching in an osteopathic school
- Proficient in instructional technology and interest in developing and implementing virtual instruction in the anatomy laboratory
- Interest in teaching collaboratively

Oklahoma State University-Center for Health Sciences was founded in 1972 and is home to the College of Osteopathic Medicine, as well as graduate programs in forensics, biomedicine, healthcare and athletic training.   Our core business is education; and it takes more than 500 faculty and staff members to run our institution.  Our mission is to educate and train osteopathic physicians, research scientists and other healthcare professionals with an emphasis on serving rural and underserved Oklahomans.  We offer more than 10 different specialty clinics to care for patients in the area.
