Duties and ResponsibilitiesSAT Preparation Instructor - Part Time Daley College  
The City Colleges of Chicago (CCC) is made up of seven colleges, the largest community college system in Illinois and one of the largest nationally. We provide more than 80,000 students each year access to a quality, affordable education. CCC supports students in meeting their goals – whether that is pursuit of a credential to head into or advance in the workforce, an associate degree with the intention to transfer to a four-year college, free GED or ESL courses, or continuing education. Primary Objective: Consider joining Daley College Continuing Education Department as a Part-Time SAT Preparation Instructor. You will have the opportunity to inspire, motivate, and empower young people to succeed. Daley College's Continuing Education Department has an exciting opportunity for an engaging, energetic and patient instructor to prepare high school juniors to take the SAT exam. The Instructor will implement, engage and inspire students through a preparatory curriculum.  
Duties and Responsibilities: 
  • Implement a research-based curriculum and program and deliver it successfully to students on a weekly basis. 
  • Teach using different methods and teaching styles and ensure that all students are actively engaged and working toward goals. 
  • Inspire, motivate and empower young people. 
  • Adapt the lessons and activities to meet students' needs and abilities as necessary. 
  • Adhere to City Colleges of Chicago code of ethics, board rules and policies and procedures.


Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree or higher, preferably with a focus in education. 
  • High school classroom experience preferred. 
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to communicate with diverse group of students and staff.
