This role provides a wide variety of professional support and leadership for the Office of the Executive Vice President for Business and Finance and Chief Operating Officer (COO). Reporting directly to the Executive Vice President for Business and Finance and Chief Operating Officer (COO), the Director, Business Operations, is central to the leadership team and ensures clear communication, follow through, implementation and responsiveness. The Director, Business Operations will provide guidance, leadership and project management for the Executive Vice President for Business and Finance and COO across the portfolio of the division and will assist with strategic planning, communications and events planning.
Directs, implements, coordinates, plans and evaluates the business operations for the EVP/COO office. Works with EVP/COO and partners with the Communications department team to create presentations, speeches, and talking points for the EVP/COO for university and community meetings. Assists EVP/COO and her senior team with organizing and administering the Division’s strategic priorities. In partnership with other campus departments, handles all student and parent complaints and inquiries in a timely and appropriate manner. Manages all events related to the EVP/COO office, including events related to United Way, Dolphins Cancer Challenge, and other University-related events involving the EVP/COO or the Division of Business and Finance. Creates event materials to align with the EVP/COO’s messages. Fields inquiries from senior leadership across Division of B&F and other University departments to ensure timely responses from the EVP/COO. Manages the EVP/COO social media accounts including Twitter. Proactively creates Twitter calendar and messaging to increase Twitter presence.Works with the EVP/COO to establish professional presence on other social media channels.
Assists the EVP/COO with a community engagement strategy to ensure her presence and success in the local community. This includes organizations where she holds Board seats as well as local and regional Chambers and professional associations. Assists with executive searches, which may include working with external search firms or internal HR
Bachelors and 5 years of relevant experience.
