This is a ten-month, part time position. Operates and oversees chemical usage and machine program cycles of the commercial laundry facility, trouble shoots when necessary, contacts B&G or Vendor, if needed. This position reports to the Director of Equipment Services.

Accountabilities

-Must be able to attend Colgate home athletic events as assigned.
-Disperses daily practice laundry and equipment, assists with the repair and maintenance of all sport-related apparel, gear and equipment.
-Performs a variety of duties related to an intercollegiate equipment room, including periodic equipment inventories, inventory control, receiving, checking and recording shortages in daily UPS, deliveries per protocol.
-Prepare and issuance of competition uniforms, locker room set up of both home and visitors for events.
-Operation of sanitation type machines for equipment.
-Other duties as assigned by the Director or Assistant Director of Equipment Services.
-Responsible for day-to-day problem solving of athletic equipment.
-Adheres to OSHA requirements and NCAA regulations to equipment safety.
-Issues, collects and maintains computerized records of lockers and locks when appropriate.
-Provides oversight and guidance of student workers when applicable.

Requirements

Professional Experience/ Qualifications

- Must possess a valid driver’s license in accordance with the university MVR policy.
-Must possess ability to repair equipment and operate commercial laundry machinery.
-Must be capable of proper usage and safety in basic power tools.
-Must be capable of working collegially with a diverse group of constituents on a daily basis.
-Must have exemplary record of work performance and attendance.
-Proficient use of computer to include Microsoft Office.
-Ability to troubleshoot and problem solve.
-Ability to work as part of a team.

Preferred Qualifications

-Prior experience in a college equipment environment highly preferred.

Education

-Requires high school diploma or equivalent.
