Program Administrator, NYU Shanghai NY Office

Position Summary

The Program Administrator position in NYU Shanghai NY Office will be responsible for planning and supporting all NY-based special programs and events involving NYU Shanghai or Chinese institutional partners visiting NYU, providing support for faculty recruitment process, monitoring budget for NY-based special programs and events, and assisting with the prioritization of office activities. This position will also serve as a liaison to Office of Global Services (OGS) for NYU Shanghai NY office and as the primary point of contact for faculty, visiting scholars, and short-term visitors regarding US visa classifications and provide administrative support to global visitors at the NYU Shanghai NY office.


Required Education:Bachelor's DegreePreferred Education:N/ARequired Experience:2+ years related administrative experience in an academic setting or an equivalent  combination. Must include experience in planning and implementing administrative activities.Preferred Experience:Experience with NYU systems; providing support in daily operations of an academic environment; data management.Required Skills, Knowledge and Abilities:Strong organizational, interpersonal and problem solving skills. Demonstrated customer service and ability to work independently and part of a team with leadership, faculty, staff and students. Excellent written and oral communication skills. High degree of discretion dealing with confidential information. Ability to plan and deliver special events and seminars. Demonstrated use of business application software, including Microsoft Word and Excel.Preferred Skills, Knowledge and Abilities:N/A
