Job Description:

The Technical Assistant provides support with the operation of the laboratories in conjunction with instructional courses, as well as general administrative assistance in the Radiologic Technology program.

In addition, the Technical Assistant must:

1 - Provide direct student oversight and assist during scheduled practice time to reinforce previously taught principles that relate to equipment, techniques, and procedures.

2- Assist with arranging the lab for assessment, student remediation, and the reinforcement of radiographic competency.

3 - Make minor repairs and preventative maintenance on laboratory equipment.

4 - Maintain records of equipment issues and use, as well as materials and stock levels.


Minimum Qualifications:

Applicants must possess all of the following:

a. A Baccalaureate Degree in a related field.

b. An Associate of Applied Science Degree in Radiologic Technology (Primary Certification) from an accredited Radiologic Technology Program.

c. Seven years of experience as a Radiologic Technologist (ARRT Certified) in an acute care hospital setting or outpatient facility.

d. Current and valid ARRT certification.

e. Recent full-time experience as a CT Technologist, preferred (ARRT Post Primary Certification).

f. Minimum of three years of recent clinical experience, working with Radiologic Technology students (preferred).
