The complexity of social, economic, and structural factors that have created such lasting social problems as substandard housing, segregation, and homelessness and the need for sustainable community development demand a multidisciplinary, multi-method, community-engaged approach. Center for Housing and Community Studies (CHCS) brings together faculty from multiple disciplines to address these problems as well as to provide a point of contact for community partners, an opportunity for the practical education and training of UNCG students, and community-based evaluation and sustainable long-term regional planning.Position Summary
This position will provide services related to the Health Impact Team, the Cottage Gardens Resource Center (CGRC), and the Environmental Health Unit within CHCS to provide research and outcomes in the areas of health and housing quality.Minimum Qualifications
Master’s degree in Public Health Education, Social Work, Nursing, or a related area. 3-5 years experience in program planning, staff supervision, training, community health outreach, case management, community health assessment, grant writing, and research in the area of Community Health.Additional Required Certifications, Licensures, and CertificatesPreferred QualificationsSpecial Instructions to Applicants

Oversee and coordinate the Health Impact Team. Plan and oversee Health Impact Team canvassing. Maintain referral and tracking system and organize trainings for Health Impact Team. Oversight of Cottage Gardens Resource Center ProjectEssential Tasks
Coordinate programming, enrollment, and direct reports for the Cottage Gardens Resource Center. Supervise the CGRC Site Coordinator, student interns, work study, AmeriCorp and community volunteers.
