Job Details
This is a ten-month, exempt staff position to maximize the co-curricular and extra-curricular development of Murray State Honors College students.
• Keep folders on half of all Honors College students and meet with each student once a year to discuss potential opportunities.
• Meet with Honors students as needed to advise on course scheduling and curricular progress.
• Work with Executive Director and other staff to develop extra-curricular programming for the Honors College.
• Work with Executive Director and other staff to organize and implement Honors retreats and events such as Honors Prime, Presidential Fellows Retreat, Honors 101, and Honors Graduate Luncheon.
• Help to host visiting prospective students.
• Work with other staff to recruit, train, and manage Honors Student Ambassadors.
• Attend recruitment events on and off campus and organize recruitment trips to promote the Honors College and Murray State University.
• Work with Study Abroad to develop Study Abroad Programs useful for Honors students.
• Other duties as assigned.
• Bachelor’s degree.
Minimum Experience and Skill Requirements• Experience working one-on-one with students to advise them on curricular and non-curricular plans.
• Experience in managing and planning events.
