The Department of Education and Teacher Preparation seeks dynamic applicants who are interested in working with teacher education faculty as part time instructors in an innovative teacher preparation program at the College of Coastal Georgia. Part time faculty members are assigned classes and/or supervision on an as-needed basis.

Essential Duties

Qualified candidates may teach courses in educational foundations, special education, literacy, elementary or middle grades and secondary pedagogy, and/or provide supervision of teacher candidates in field experiences.

Minimum Qualifications and Training

Qualifications include education professional with a terminal degree or a Master’s degree with significant professional experience in early childhood education, middle grades education, special education, or educational foundations with recent teaching experience and/or administrative experience in the public schools and/or at the college level.

Preferred Qualifications and Training

Preference will be given to applicants who demonstrate expertise working cooperatively with others, possess supervisory experience, exhibit a commitment to teacher candidate learning and success, and have a working knowledge of standards based instruction and assessment.
