The Hydrogeology Group in the Colege of Arts & Sciences at University of Cincinnati is seeking to fill an hourly-paid Research Scientist position to work on numerical modeling of multicomponent reactive transport during groundwater and surface water interactions.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

  • A Bachelor’s Degree in an appropriate related discipline and three (3) years of progressively responsible related professional research experience
  • Any combination of relevant education and experience may be substituted for the educational requirement on a year-for-year basis
  • Master’s degree in an appropriate related scientific or other relevant discipline may be substituted for up to one year of the required work experience

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • A PhD in Chemistry, Physics, Mathematics, Earth Sciences, Engineering, or an equivalent program
  • A solid background in chemistry, physics, math, and programming (preferably in Fortran)
  • Superior oral and written communication skills
  • Demonstrated experience in research, and interests in scientific problems related to groundwater and surface water modeling are all desirable
