Preferred QualificationsPosition Summary

This person will be responsible for the management of the post-graduate training program within the Department of Clinical and Administrative Pharmacy (CAP). The post-graduate training program includes the residency and graduate (M.S. and Ph.D.) programs. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to: managing recruitment, applications and screening of prospective students, maintaining the online tracking system of students/trainees, loading resident and graduate level courses, gathering and submitting student award nominations, and advising students. This person will also maintain the budget for the program which includes reconciliation of billing statements, reimbursements to students/trainees, assisting students with travel authorities and expense statements, and processing purchase orders as needed. Participate in meetings at the Graduate School pertaining to admissions, policies and procedures and updates for the online tracking systems. Preparation of survey data for the Graduate Student and Postdoctoral in Science and Engineering, National Science Foundation, American Association of Colleges of Pharmacy, and other organizations related to the graduate program. This position will also be responsible for providing graduate program updates for the Clinical and Administrative Pharmacy’s website to the College of Pharmacy’s Office of Public Relations, Communications and Marketing. They will be responsible for updating all content for the educational and research programs associated with the department, as well as update faculty, staff, and graduate student pages. Website management may also require working with web managers at our partner institutions to ensure uniform data and correct links between the sites.

Managing recruitment, applications and screening of prospective students, and maintaining the online tracking system of students/trainees, making sure all graduate program deadlines are met, advisement of graduate students, course loading, course creation and updates in CAPA, responsible for scheduling and conducting orientation of all graduate students, organizing student events, student advisement, filed queries from potential applicants, schedules exams and defenses, prepares assistantship and awards letters, communicating on behalf of the Director with candidates, scheduling interviews and visitation of graduate candidates, updating the student handbooks for the department, as needed.
