This position offers a 40 hour work week. Hours and schedule may vary to include nights as well as some weekends as needed to meet departmental goals, deadlines and/or emergencies.

Preferred Qualifications

MPA or MBA and CASP certification. Experience with National Auxiliary Service Organizations.

Position Summary

The Associate Director of Auxiliary Services oversees the Division’s operations departments to assure the contribution of all those departments to the proper support of the financial and academic mission of the University. The primary focus of this position is on the operational units of the Division, but the incumbent should be prepared to assist with support units of the Division on occasion as well. The Associate Director aids the Director of Auxiliary Services in providing assurance that operating units perform in conjunction with the coordinated efforts of the various academic and supportive units of the University. In addition, the Associate Director is responsible for assisting in the development of long range plans and implementation of continuous improvement in the service provided for Campus and the local community.

Knowledge, Skills, Abilities and/or Competencies

Direct working knowledge of Campus Auxiliary programs including Campus Bookstore Operations, Golf Course Operations, Contracted Services, Vending Services, and Transportation / Parking Services Operations.

Responds to and resolves complaints from the University and surrounding communities, recommending strategies to alleviate any issues that may arise in the absence of the Director of Auxiliary Services.

Acts as a community liaison for Auxiliary Services, serving on campus, public and/or private related committees. Represents the University as the campus expert for Auxiliary-related issues and may be called upon to speak with local government officials, media and other constituents in the absence of the Director of Auxiliary Services.

Performs related duties as required.
