Vernon Ext. Ctr.P/T Technical Assistant (Biology and Health Labs), Ossining Extension Center. The P/T Technical Assistant (Biology and Health Labs) will assist faculty, students, and staff in the preparation and support of academic duties. S/he will assist in maintaining equipment and inventory control for both labs within the Ossining Extension Center. S/he will also provide assistance in student support services. A High School Diploma or equivalent as well as a minimum of 1 year of related experience is required. The work schedule is Saturday and Sunday: 8:30 am to 4:30 pm beginning fall 2017. Some weekday evenings required. No benefits. $12.50/hr.P/T Maintenance Laborer (Utility). The Buildings and Grounds Dept. seeks a part time incumbent to assist higher level maintenance staff with grounds maintenance. S/he will mow the lawns, plant, prune trees & shrubs, and remove debris. Assisting in weeding, cutting down trees, helping with the repair of potholes, and assembling park benches also required. Additional tasks to be assigned. A high school or equivalency diploma is required. The successful candidate must have experience with the use of lawn mowers, chain saws, and weed whackers. Up to 28 hours per week. $12.25 per hour. No benefits.P/T Technical Assistant, Mount Vernon Extension Center. The incumbent assists in the performance of various support oriented duties focusing on instructional lab support, data tracking/reporting, and publications for the extension center. Responsibilities will include use of Microsoft Office Suite to create tools for tracking and assessing activities. Use of graphic software will be required for providing creative for center communications. This position will also support the front desk in helping students apply to college, register for classes, meet with counseling and make payments to their accounts. A high school or equivalency diploma and a minimum of 1 year of related experience is required. The successful candidate must have strong customer service skills. Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and Adobe are strongly preferred. Knowledge of Peoplesoft also preferred. Flexibility in working hours including Saturdays. $12.50 per hour. No benefits.P/T Technical Assistant (Computers), Ossining Extension Center. The P/T Technical Assistant (Computers) will assist faculty, students, and staff in the preparation and support of academic duties. S/he will maintain computer equipment and inventory control within the Ossining Extension Center. S/he will also provide assistance in student support services. A High School Diploma or equivalent as well as a minimum of 1 year of computer technical experience is required. The work schedule is 2-3 days a week 8:30am to 4:30pm. No benefits. $12.50/hr.P/T Technical Assistants-I.T. I.T. seeks four (4) P/T Technical Assistants to assist with the installation of computers and other devices. Responsibilities include removing decommissioned equipment and preparing the equipment for recycling; performing equipment maintenance and repair; logging and submitting inventory information when appropriate; assisting with unboxing, placing, connecting, and configuring new computers, printers, scanners, monitors and other computer related equipment; and assisting with software installation and configuration. Other duties as assigned. The successful candidate must possess a minimum of a high school or equivalency diploma and 1 year of experience in the area of specialty. S/he must be able to lift 50 lbs. The work schedule is a maximum of 28 hours per week, Monday through Thursday (8am-4pm with a 1-hour lunch). $12.50 per hour. No benefits.P/T Teacher Aide (Valhalla, NY). The Virginia Marx Children’s Center at Westchester Community College seeks enthusiastic and skilled teachers to provide assistance to Teacher Assistants and work with infants, toddlers, and/or preschoolers. The Center is a NYS licensed child care facility and NAEYC accredited. The successful candidate must possess a minimum of a high school or equivalency diploma and demonstration of interest in working with children. The work schedule is Monday through Friday, up to 28 hours per week; 8:00 am-2:30 pm or 11:30-6:00 pm. $12.10 per hour, no benefits.Senior Tutors: The Academic Support Center seeks Senior Tutors for biology, chemistry, writing, ESL, math, and reading. A BA/BS degree and a minimum of 1 year of tutoring experience within an educational setting are required. The successful candidate must possess strong interpersonal skills. Knowledge of the Microsoft Office Suite is required. Hours: day and/or evening, 10 + hours per week. Hourly wage: $13.00 per hour.
