DescriptionThe Department ofGeography and Environmental Studies (GES) at the University of Colorado ColoradoSprings (UCCS) invites applications for a tenure track Assistant Professor in Human-Environmental Geography, to beginin August 2020.  We seek applicants with aspecialization in water insecurity, hazards, and/or climate justice.  The candidate will teach a combination ofintroductory and advanced courses, including Introduction to EnvironmentalStudies and Sustainability, Introduction to Human Geography, and/or WorldRegional Geography.  Candidates must havea PhD in geography or related discipline and must maintain an active researchagenda. We seek a candidate to foster cross-campus collaborations and makeconnections between the university and the regional community. The GESdepartment has a suite of geospatial software and lab facilities, collegial andproductive faculty, approximately 230 undergraduate majors and 20 MA students,and a setting near the base of Pikes Peak that offers many opportunities forgeographic research.  See GES website at www.uccs.edu/geography.
