Instructional Support Assistant - Help Desk Client Support
At Stony Brook Medicine, a TH Instructional Support Assistant is a valuable member of our team, who provides hardware and technical support to personnel and management.
Qualified candidates will demonstrate outstanding communication skills while adhering to our high standard of excellence.
Duties of a TH Instructional Support Assistant may include the following but are not limited to:
- Respond torequests for support including, but not limited to tickets, telephone calls and E-mails, in a prompt, courteous and professional manner.
- Providefirst level troubleshooting and resolution of issues pertaining toorganization's PCs, laptops, smartphones, mobile care carts and printers. Prioritizeand provide a resolution to issue whenever possible. Escalate tothe next level of support as necessary. Collect all details pertaining to theissue or request and enter into the Service Desk Management System.
- Maintainexcellent communication with IT support and management, customers anddepartment personnel. Report and escalate high priority issues withsupervisor or manager. Report suspected security breached or possible securitydefects.
Required Qualifications: Associatesor Technical degree in computer related field. Three or more years of experiencein IT support, including desktop operating systems (Win/Mac) and mobileoperating systems. Must have excellent technical skills and troubleshootingknowledge of Windows/MAC OS, iOS and Android Smart Phone devices. Detailoriented with strong analytical and organizational skills. Excellent verbal,written communication skills and customer service skills.
Preferred Qualifications: Bachelor’sdegree in computer related field. Project management experience. Previousexperience working in a Health Care facility. Experience providing assistanceto customers on administrative, billing and technical issues in a high volumeenvironment.
