Job Description:

The post-doc will oversee development of discharge inversion algorithms from river flow laws using partial observations of hydraulics in concert with the NASA Surface Water and Ocean Topography (SWOT) mission discharge algorithm working group. The post doc will also deploy the operational Bayesian AMHG-Manning algorithm at the global scale.

Requirements:

Ph.D. in Civil & Environmental Engineering, hydrology, or related field, excellent knowledge of hydrologic modelling, demonstrated skills in writing scientific papers and project reports, ability to travel and participate in project research meetings. Expert knowledge of the Hillslope River Routing model required.

Additional Information:

Data analysis, computer programming, and iterative algorithm development. Preparation of research papers and reports, participation in research group meetings. Publication of results in major hydrologic journals.
