Duties of Position: Harper’s Communications Division is looking for experienced student photographers/videographers with an interest in marketing, graphic arts, communication and photojournalism who can creatively document campus events and turn around images with captions within the same day. Student photographers will also write captions for the best images, including names of the subjects pictured, and secure a signed release form from subjects photographed. Images will be used on the College’s website, social media channels and in publications.
Education Requirements: In order to apply for this position, you must be a current Harper College student, enrolled in at least six credits per semester (three for summer)
Experience Requirements: Through this position, you will further develop skills necessary to be successful in the photojournalism, marketing and communication, gain experience in a professional environment, improve your photography, work with a supportive staff, get your work published and begin to build a professional network.
Schedule Information: Will determine schedule based on student's availability. Must have some availability to work 6-10 hours a week. Hours will vary, but not conflict with classes. Most of the time will be spent on campus taking photos.
