The Department of Biological Chemistry in the School of Medicine at University of California, Irvine (UCI), invites applications for a state-funded, tenure-track assistant professor position. This position is part of a multi-department initiative in bioinformatics. The Department of Biological Chemistry is recruiting two faculty to lead the bioinformatics initiative within the department.
We are seeking outstanding individuals in all fields of bioinformatics. We are particularly interested in candidates using omics data and are interested in close collaborations with biologists in the department.

Successful candidates will join a dynamic, collaborative program in bioinformatics and can be associated with the Institute of Genomics and Bioinformatics, the Chao Comprehensive Cancer Center, and the Center for Epigenetics and Metabolism at UC-Irvine. Candidates are expected to develop a well-funded, vigorous research program of high caliber and participate in post-graduate training.
