DESCRIPTION: The University of Redlands School of Business invites applicants for a tenure track position in Management / Leadership (open rank). The School of Business offers innovative graduate and undergraduate degree programs primarily geared towards working professional adults. The University of Redlands is recognized as a premiere regional liberal education institution situated on a picturesque campus in the City of Redlands within an hour of Los Angeles, Palm Springs, Orange County, and Lake Arrowhead.

We encourage applications from scholars who are looking to work in a collegial atmosphere who would like to teach leadership, management and organizational behavior courses such as Purposeful Leadership and Strategic Leadership and Change in our Master of Science in Organizational Leadership program. We are looking for a colleague who has an active and vibrant research agenda in Leadership. An interest in business as an agent for social good is desirable.

POSITION CRITERIA: Candidates should have a doctoral degree in Management (or related areas such as Organizational Behavior, Organization Studies, Strategy and Leadership) from an AACSB or equivalently accredited university. ABDs may be considered subject to completing degree requirements before the effective date of appointment.

The School expects excellence in teaching and an active engagement with research; a desire to work with other faculty to create and implement innovative curricula; effective interaction with members of diverse cultures; and online learning. Practitioner experience in business-related activities is highly desirable.

An important initiative of the School of Business is the Purposeful Leadership Initiative, and its co-curricular arm, the Banta Center for Ethical and Purposeful Leadership. The successful candidate is expected to be involved with the educational, community and research initiatives associated with these.

We seek candidates with a demonstrated interest and willingness to work with students of under-represented groups in achieving academic success. Candidates who apply are asked to identify their strengths and experiences in the area of inclusivity and specifically in assisting diverse student populations and, students from underrepresented groups to accomplish curricular goals. Hires beyond Assistant Professor level must be justified through significant and sustained professional activity.
