Post-Doctoral Fellow expected to assist with the collection of biomarker, performance and clinical data in an exercise performance environment. Collaboration with an esteemed research team to develop and explore related avenues of research.Minimum Qualifications (Classified and Unclassified positions)
PhD in exercise science, kinesiology, or related field. Previous research experiences in blood biomarker, human performance, and exercise training protocols is required.Preferred Qualifications
Experience with human subjects research protocols, excellent communication and organization skills, experience with technology related to performance assessment (endurance/VO2max, power, strength, body composition), biomarker analysis (collection, processing, and analysis), and training load monitoring (Polar Team Pro with HR and GPS). Ability to work in a team and independently. Ability to troubleshoot technological issues with staff and research participants. Potential to contribute to undergraduate or graduate teaching within Department of Exercise Science.Knowledge/Skills/Abilities
Develop detailed procedures and protocols and ensure proper implementation of research following all proper ethical and related guidelines. Communicate effectively with research team. Demonstrate excellent writing and organizational skills. Work as part of a team and independently. Ensure timely completion of all required CITI and Good Clinical Practice training. Articulate ideas and demonstrate a willingness to bring creative and new ideas to the team. Ability to complete basic statistical analyses using SPSS or other statistical program.
