Assists in the daily operations of the food and laundry services for children in attendance at the Hiersteiner Child Development Center with general direction from the Lead Cook. Must meet all guidelines set by the Kansas Department of Health and Environment, Federal Child and Adult Care Food Program, and the National Academy of Early Childhood Programs. Required to restore order and cleanliness to all food service and laundry areas. Supports lab and internship activity within food service area. Perform other duties as may be assigned by the Lead Cook.

Required Skills
  • Ability to lift up to 25 pounds and to move freely (bending, pushing, pulling, etc.)
  • Good interpersonal skills
Required Experience
  • High School graduate or equivalent

Preferred Experience:

  • Experience with food service, dishwashing, and laundry
  • Experience working with young children
